At the end of May, one of the largest South African cities Johannesburg hosted the 10th anniversary BRICS Academic Forum 'Envisioning Inclusive Development Through a Socially Responsive Economy'. Liliana Proskuryakova, Director of the HSE ISSEK National Contact Centre for International Academic Mobility, presented the Russian initiative to establish BRICS Energy Research Platform.

In 2018 HSE launches a new BA double degree programme in Economics and Politics in Asia. It will be offered jointly by the Kyung Hee University (Republic of Korea) and HSE. Its Academic Supervisor Denis Shcherbakov talks about the programme’s structure and all that it offers.
HSE and University of London: Joint BA Programme in Applied Data Analysis
In 2018, the Higher School of Economics will launch an English-taught double degree programme in partnership with the University of London in Applied Data Analysis. Graduates will be awarded an undergraduate degree from HSE in Applied Mathematics and Information Science and a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of London. International applicants are invited to apply online starting November 15, 2017.
HSE Begins Collaboration on Energy Systems with Jülich Research Centre
On November 7, HSE hosted a delegation from the Jülich Research Centre in Germany. Scholars from both countries came together to discuss joint research opportunities, including transformation of energy systems for sustainable development; future studies of energy technologies, including foresight studies; and methodological issues related to big data analysis and modelling.

HSE Book Series Published by Springer
Springer, one of the world's leading publishers of scientific literature, has launched a new book series, entitled ‘Societies and political orders in transition’. The series has been initiated by the HSE Faculty of Social Sciences, and three HSE representatives are members of the series International Advisory Board, with the other four members coming from universities in Germany, UK and the USA.
Faculty of Computer Science Organized Event for Radboud University Students
From April 20 – 30, 2017, students from Radboud University Nijmegen took part in a cultural and educational programme organized by the Faculty of Computer Science as part of the ‘Information and Computer Technology in Different Cultures’ course.
HSE Signed Partnership Agreement with Ghent University
Students and doctoral students of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science will have the opportunity to take part in exchange and double degree programmes.
HSE Signs Student Exchange Agreement with Chung-Ang University
HSE and Chung-Ang University (Republic of Korea) have signed an agreement on student exchange. As part of of the agreement, three students from the HSE School of Logistics will study in Seoul per semester.
New Double-degree Programme within ICEF MSc in Financial Economics
Double-degree programme is launched on ICEF MSc ‘Financial Economics’. Starting from 2017/2018 intake, ICEF students can obtain a second Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance from LUISS University (Rome, Italy). Partner universities each award two individual qualifications upon completion of the collaborative programme requirements.
